This painting is truly priceless—it took over a decade to complete and carries the story of my artistic journey through time.
I began this work while living and working in London, originally intending to paint the cosmos. Yet something felt incomplete, and the painting remained unfinished for years. A decade later, after becoming a father, the missing piece revealed itself. When my son was just three years old, I introduced him to painting. His joyful creative energy left vibrant remnants of color on my palette, and I found myself using these leftover paints to add new layers—playful, colorful strokes that breathed life into the work.
The painting evolved from "space" into "space and time"—a meditation on how time travels through our lives, transforming intentions into something complete and whole.

This painting was inspired by my visit to Holland. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to experience such a unique cosmopolitan country. The beauty of its landscapes and the immersive culture of love and admiration for tulips left a lasting impression on my heart.

This painting was created during what was probably the peak of my depression, but I still wanted to make something expressive. I experimented freely: diluting paint, waving my hands to create thin landing lines, letting drips move across the canvas. It felt chaotic and untethered. To ground the composition, I needed something simple and beautiful—a poppy growing in my garden. Delicate, vivid, and within my ability to convey to a viewer. The title, Poppy in space, has a double meaning: a flower floating in an undefined space, but also a reflection of where my mind truly was at the time—somewhere out in the dark space of overwhelming thoughts.
